Unity Player Games:
Some games in Kartridge use the Unity Player when they are running. There is a known error with Unity Player related to usernames that can cause games to crash immediately. If you experience an immediate game crash on startup, check the logs that are generated. You should see something like this:
If you do, check your local username for special characters. If the username you have set up on your computer includes a special character (see list below), then you may need to change your local username to play Unity Player games. You can confirm this by creating a new test account on your computer.
Special Characters can include:

Unable to Install:
In the event that you are unable to install a game, you may receive a message about not having permissions for a particular location on your device. Take these steps to resolve this issue:
- Make sure you are using an Admin Account
- Use an installation directory that is not in a regulated part of your account.
- Check any security software you have installed and make sure that an exception is built in for Kartridge. Some anti-malware programs or antiviruses can prevent other programs from initiating installation actions on your computer.
