As a developer, you have the option to use Kartridge's Advanced Publishing Features when setting up their game store. You can set your game as "Coming Soon", "Early Access", or "Playtest"
All games (Free, Free to Play, Pay-What-You-Want, and Premium) can use Advanced Publishing Features
Coming Soon allows you to set up your game page to announce that your game will be available soon. Players may submit their email to be notified when the game becomes available, though no game files are required when setting up your game page.
You can read more about Playtesting in this article.
Unlike Playtesting, which allows you to create game keys that can be given out for testing games, Early Access will allow you to generate and edit a number of times your Early Access game can be bought or downloaded. Once that number is reached, players can sign up to be notified if you add more, or if the game is published to the live environment.
You can find the option to allow Early Access in the Advanced Publishing Features.
Once enabled, you can set the details of your Early Access, including a Launch Date and Purchase Limit for your game.
Early Access supersedes Playtest and Coming Soon settings. This means that if you have Playtesting enabled prior to enabling Early Access, you will no longer be able to push updates to playtesters.
If you have “Coming Soon” enabled prior to enabling Early Access, then your game page will show as Early Access once you enable this feature.
